The Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority (TIRA) has announced vacancies for qualified Tanzanian citizens to join its workforce as Insurance Officer II – General Insurance. A total of four (4) posts are available under this position.
The role involves supporting insurance regulatory activities, processing registration applications, reviewing compliance with registration requirements, analyzing insurance products, responding to enquiries, and participating in regulatory inspections.

Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Receive and process applications for registration and renewal of registration certificates.
- Collect, organize, and tabulate statistical information relating to the registration of insurance players.
- Review and analyze applications for registration and renewal submitted by intermediaries and other insurance service providers to ensure compliance with established requirements.
- Study and assess new insurance products intended for introduction into the market.
- Respond to enquiries from members of the public and insurance industry players concerning registration requirements and other insurance-related matters.
- Participate in regular inspections as required by the Authority.
- Perform any other duties related to the position as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should be holders of a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Insurance, Risk Management, or Insurance and Risk Management from a recognized institution.
Salary Scale
Successful candidates appointed to the position of Insurance Officer II – General Insurance will be paid according to the TIRAS 4 salary scale.

Foreign academic certificates must be recognized by the relevant authorities, including TCU, NECTA, and NACTVET. Applicants applying for positions with a GPA requirement must attach their GPA calculation certificate from TCU.
