Tunduru District Council Jobs 2026: 27 Volunteer Vacancies

Tunduru District Council has announced 27 volunteer job opportunities for Tanzanian citizens interested in working in waste management and environmental cleanliness. 1. Waste Loader – 12 Positions

Qualifications

Applicants for the Waste Loader position must meet the following requirements:

• Must be a Tanzanian citizen aged between 18 and 45 years.
• Must be mentally fit.
• Must be trustworthy and of good character.
• Must be physically healthy and capable of performing manual work.
• Must be hardworking, committed, and responsible.
• Both male and female applicants are encouraged to apply.

Duties

Successful applicants will be responsible for:

• Loading waste from waste collection vehicles and designated collection areas.
• Assisting in keeping waste collection areas clean.
• Performing other duties related to environmental cleanliness as assigned.

Monthly Payment

Waste Loaders who are selected and engaged will receive a monthly payment of TZS 170,000.

2. Street Sweeper – 15 Positions

Tanduru District Council is also seeking applicants for 15 Street Sweeper positions.

Qualifications

Applicants must:

• Be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years.
• Be mentally fit.
• Be trustworthy and of good character.
• Have good health and the ability to perform manual duties.
• Be hardworking, disciplined, and responsible.
• Both men and women are encouraged to apply.

Duties

Street Sweepers will be responsible for:

• Sweeping and cleaning public areas assigned to them.
• Collecting waste generated from sweeping activities.
• Ensuring assigned areas remain clean.
• Performing other environmental cleanliness duties assigned by supervisors.

Monthly Payment

Selected Street Sweepers will receive TZS 160,000 per month.

General Application Requirements

All applicants are required to meet the following conditions:

1. Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged 18 to 45 years.
2. Applications must be submitted to the Ward Executive Officer (WEO) of the applicant's respective ward.
3. Applicants must attach two recent passport-size photographs.
4. Application letters should be written in Kiswahili.
5. Shortlisted applicants will be informed about the date and arrangements for the interview.
6. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
7. Applicants must provide their mobile phone numbers.
8. Applicants must be residents of Tanduru District Council.
