Scholarship Misri 2026/2027 kwa Wanafunzi wa Tanzania – EGY-AID Scholarship, Jinsi ya Kuomba na Sifa

The Ministry of Higher Education of Egypt is offering scholarships to qualified Tanzanian students under the “EGY-AID” Scholarship Initiative for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The scholarships are available for Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Arabic Language Studies.

1. General Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following conditions:

• Must be a citizen of Tanzania.
• Applicants seeking admission to a Bachelor’s degree programme must hold an Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education or its equivalent.
• The applicant’s name must be identical on all submitted documents for verification purposes.
• Scholarship beneficiaries will be admitted only to Egyptian public universities.

2. Required Documents

Applicants are required to submit the following documents:

For Undergraduate Applicants

• Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education or its equivalent, certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation and the Egyptian Embassy.

For Postgraduate Applicants

• Certified university degree certificate(s).
• Certified academic transcript(s).
• Research proposal.

All Applicants

• A copy of a valid passport.
• A well-written personal statement.
• Curriculum Vitae (CV).
• Recommendation letter.
• All other documents required for registration.

3. Scholarship Application Requirements

Applicants for the 2026/2027 academic year must:

• Demonstrate strong academic performance.
• Meet the minimum academic requirements for their chosen programme.
• Submit all required documents within the application period.

Age Limit

• Bachelor’s degree: Maximum 22 years.
• Master’s and PhD: Maximum 32 years.

Postgraduate applicants must also submit a research proposal as part of their application.

4. Arabic Language Studies

Students applying to the Arab Language Cultural Center must meet the following requirements:

• Be capable of successfully completing the beginner preparatory level.
• Must not be more than 32 years old.
• Must take a Placement Test, which may be conducted online or in person at the Arab Language Cultural Center.

5. What the Scholarship Covers

The EGY-AID scholarship will cover:

1. Tuition fees.
2. Monthly stipend for scholarship beneficiaries.
3. Additional allowance for books and thesis printing for Master’s and PhD students.
4. Return air ticket upon successful completion of studies.
5. Medical treatment at universities and government hospitals.
